Organized by the Gimli Yacht Club and the Kiwanis Club of Gimli & District, this family-friendly fundraising event features education, fun and food – all in support of a healthy Lake Winnipeg.
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting this years Save the Lake Fundraiser on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022.
All proceeds raised will be donated to the Lake Winnipeg Foundation (LWF) and the Lake Winnipeg Research Consortium (LWRC). Over the past four years we have raised over $30,000 to help support a healthy Lake Winnipeg.
We will have Save the Lake merchandise items for sale, auction items, and our Fish Fry tickets all available online at https://shop.gimliyachtclub.com/products/save-the-lake-fish-fry-2022.
You can also come in person to enjoy the The Fish Fry and associated events at the Gimli Yacht Club or just visit us on line to support this worthy cause.
The Fish Fry can be purchased in advance online or in person on July 3rd. Meals will be sold in 15 minute increments between 11:00am to 3:00pm. Your ticket will tell you what time your meal will be ready. The meals will be available for pick up at the Kiwanis mobile kitchen in the front yard of the Gimli Yacht Club at your designated time. This year there will be lots of seating on the club lawn if you want to enjoy the great outdoors.
The auction will be open on June 20th and close at 3:00pm on Jul 3rd. We have several great auction items for you to bid on. Click the link and start bidding. Also, we have a limited supply of Save the Lake branded merchandise. Don’t delay as we will not be reordering our items.
The event is committed to supporting The Lake Winnipeg Research Consortium and The Lake Winnipeg Foundation. Lake Winnipeg needs our voices to be heard. Hope to see you online or in person to support this great cause.
On behalf of the Gimli Yacht Club, we so very much appreciate all who choose to join in on the fun. We all love Lake Winnipeg and value the efforts being made to understand this amazing resource, and ensure its sustainability. I’d like to thank all of our volunteers, including Gimli Yacht Club members as well as our partners at Kiwanis of Gimli, for helping to make this year’s event a success. See you on Sunday!
